Walkathon 2007 to benefit Friendship House in Hamtramck.. The idea is to get your friends and family to pledge that they will sponsor you with a contribution to Friendship House. They in turn use the money to aid needy families. We were fortunate to have had a beautiful day to walk. But we also reflect on how quickly the weather and life situations can change. We walk those same streets as a visual reminder that there are many people still living on the streets. We clean up the trash because this is not only OUR home, but also God's. As guests in His home, and to assure that it will be here for future generations, we need to clean up after ourselves. |
