What is "Pay It Forward" ?

  Changing the world one favor at a time:

The premise is simple.

The results can be miraculous!

One good turn deserves another. That's the idea.  It begins with doing a favor for another person without any expectation of being paid back. You would request that the recipient of that favor do the same for someone else: ideally for three other people. The favors can be large or small: It doesn't have to be a big thing. It can just seem that way, depending on the person you do it for.

So, let's say that...

1.) You did something nice for 3 people,

2.)  And they in turn did a favor for 3 people. That's 9..

3.)  Those 9 pay it forward to 3 people. That's 27.

4.)  Those 27 pay it forward to 3 people. That's 81.

5.)  Those 81 pay it forward. That's 243.

6.)  Those 243 pay it forward to 3 more. That's 729. 

7.)  Those 729 pay it forward to 3 more.. That's 2187...

8.)  Those 2187 pay it forward to 3 more. That's 6561.

9.) Those 6561 pay it forward to 3 more, and that's 19,683...

10.) And then it really gets fun!..  Keep that going on..and that brings the total to a whopping 59,049 people reached by your efforts in only 10 steps...!

Can you imagine it? If each one of us did a small favor, or a really big favor, without the intent of returning the favor, but PAYING IT FORWARD instead, we could make a HUGE impact on the world around us!

Go to www.freecycle.org	The Freecycle Network™ is a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer. Membership is free. (Offers and postings will go directly to your email. We suggest a separate email address for this unless you are one to check and update several times a day. Keep in mind. Things go fast.!.)
